ERA Software develops software solutions designed to streamline all transactions in the grant life cycle. ERA Software is headquartered in Long Beach, California and has development offices in the Silicon Valley and Richmond, VA. The ERA Software staff and advisory team includes experts in scientific research, research administration, administrative computing, database development, financial accounting, and business process management.
The ERA team first created a concept of a fully integrated grant and contract management system for universities while working in the mid 1990’s in administrative computing at the University of Southern California. The original Grant and Application Management System (GAMS) was designed with major input from key universities across the USA, and ERA Software Systems was granted the rights to commercialize GAMS in 2000. In September 2002, NIH awarded ERA Software Systems a Small Business Innovative Research grant (SBIR) for enhancing GAMS to support XML submissions of grant applications to NIH.
ERA Software is now recognized by many federal agencies as one of the leading software providers for electronic research administration. We’re committed to be the industry leader in providing paperless grant applications for both the Grants.gov and the NIH eCGAP electronic submission initiatives.
ERA Software is a certified eCGAP service provider, and a participant in the current Grants.gov system-to-system pilot testing program. ERA Software fully supports all eGov initiatives driven by PL 106/107 and the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
